Kelly is a Certified Advanced Rolfer™, Rolf® Movement Practitioner and Craniosacral Therapist. She is a graduate of the Rolf® Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder, CO and currently has a practice in Concord, NH.
Before becoming a Rolfer, Kelly danced professionally for several ballet companies. The intense physical and mental demands that come with being a professional ballet dancer are necessary yet unforgiving. Chronic back pain and repetitive strain injuries, left her injured and chronically sore. The constant strive for perfection mentally took its toll. Kelly came to accept daily exhaustion and relied on NSAIDS to dull her pains.
A specific ballet injury during a heavy performance season, finally pushed her to seek outside help. After exhausting other types of therapy, Kelly finally found relief with Rolfing®. The helped to relieve her chronic pain and broadened her sense of self. She recalls feeling like movement was smooth and effortless. Every tissue layer seemed to be sliding and moving as it should. As she continued to get Rolfed, Kelly began to experience an increased energy level and renewed mental state that lasted when she went back to work in the studio and on stage.
It was the profound results Kelly experienced that eventually led her to pursue Rolfing as a career. Kelly's professional approach is to listen to her client's stories and goals and collaborate with them to help them achieve a better sense of self and freedom in movement. Drawing upon her extensive training and movement background, her assessment of postural and movement patterns helps to structure sessions in a gentle and efficient manner. It is Kelly's goal, through Rolfing, to help people experience ease and comfort in their physical bodies, allowing them to do what they love in life with less pain and restriction.
